Any kind of fish with a soft texture will work well with the recipe. The only thing you have to pay attention to while grilling the fish is that you may not flip the fish very often. Also, it is better to grill it over medium-low heat. It will ensure the fish is completely cooked. If you like spicy taste, adding a small amount of Tabasco can be a good choice.

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ lb. whole fresh fish
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 fresh lime
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 6 shallots
- 2 fresh Tabasco peppers
- 3 candlenuts
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- • ¼ cup soy sauce
- • ¼ teaspoon minced garlic
- • ½ teaspoon diced Tabasco pepper
- • 1-tablespoon diced red tomatoes
Instructions:
- Score the fish at several places then rub it with salt.
- Cut the lime into halves then squeeze the juice over the fish. Let it rest for a few minutes.
- In the meantime, place garlic, shallot, Tabasco pepper, and candlenuts in a food processor. Then, process until smooth.
- Transfer the spice mixture to a bowl then pour soy sauce and coconut oil over the spices.
- Add pepper and sugar to the spice mixture then stir well.
- Next, preheat your grill over medium heat then apply cooking spray to it.
- Baste the fish with the spiced soy sauce then grill the fish.
- Occasionally flip the fish and baste the remaining spiced soy sauce over the fish once every several minutes.
- Next, once the fish is done, remove it from the grill. Then, transfer it to a serving dish.
- Quickly combine the entire sauce mixture in a bowl then stir well.
- Serve the grilled fish with the sauce and enjoy it!
